Sampling Steps
How many denoising iterations a diffusion model runs to turn random noise into your image. More steps means more refinement — up to a point: quality typically plateaus around 25-40 steps, and doubling beyond that mostly doubles your wait time. Too few steps (under about 15) leaves images mushy and underdetailed. Modern distilled models like some FLUX variants produce great results in as few as 4 steps. Practical rule: use lower steps for rapid drafts and idea exploration, higher steps for the final render you actually keep.
