BPM (Beats Per Minute)

audio

Beats per minute — the tempo of a piece of music. It anchors a track's energy: 60-80 BPM feels calm and cinematic, 90-110 sits in relaxed pop and hip-hop territory, 120-130 is dance-floor standard, 140-plus is high intensity. Specifying BPM in music prompts ('lofi hip-hop, 85 BPM') gives you predictable pacing instead of luck. It also matters for editing: cutting video on the beat requires knowing the BPM, and matching music tempo to footage pace makes edits feel professional. Example: a 128 BPM track for a fast-cut product reel.
